This team is the tip of the spear for the modernization of the Army's Deploy to Redeploy/Retrograde (D2RR) End-to-End (E2E) business processes and IT solutions. As part of this team, you will be helping to shape the Army in transforming its data capabilities in support of the changing global landscape. ERPi plays an integral role in providing architecture support of the current Army GFIM systems, we assist as the Functional lead in the development and acquisition of the Army's GFIM OE to support Global Force Management.
Global Force Information Management Objective Environment (GFIM OE) is a Global Force Management Data Initiative (GFM DI) compliant, integrated, and interoperable digital environment that enables, through automation, the Deploy to Redeploy/Retrograde (D2RR) End-to-End (E2E) Army business processes in support of Dynamic Force Employment (DFE). GFIM OE will enable HQDA G-3/5/7 to rapidly evolve both long-term and immediate solutions that integrate and automate D2RR E2E Army business processes of force structure, readiness, manning, equipping, resourcing, and sustaining functions for the Army. This initiative will provide an agile, transparent, and auditable manner to support senior leader decisions and transformation of the management of Title 10 functions. The new business processes, data and corresponding financial services demand more rigor in capturing, data analytics for conduct force management activities while enabling the Army to sunset legacy systems that lack interoperability.
The Data Architect/Modeler is the lead subject matter expert responsible for the analysis, planning, and execution of data architecture requirements. In this role, the Data Architect/Modeler will be responsible for:
Designing a unified data architecture approach including best practice data models. Development of the conceptual, logical, physical data models which are DODAF, ABEA and OBT compliant. Developing the corresponding Data Reference Model to support the reuse of data Establishing and executing the plan for migrating legacy data into new data construct. Planning, executing, and managing the implementation of data structures, data warehouse, and relational database best practices. The Data Modeler will report directly to the Project Manager and provide recommendations via a Data Migration Plan, Data Migration Best Practice Analysis, and Data Source Analysis document.
Additional tasks include providing technical expertise for the production of detailed database designs and design documentation, including data models and data flow diagrams; evaluating and configuring database products to match user requirements with system capabilities; determining file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for system databases; planning and coordinating conversion and migration of existing (or legacy) databases.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 8 years of related experience Bachelor's Degree
