Overview
A large Federal healthcare agency is implementing a risk-based approach to cybersecurity that creates unity of effort across 20+ cybersecurity projects that are currently separate. One of the key challenges is defining an effective cybersecurity approach that works enterprise-wide, implementing multiple new cybersecurity tools, and driving the adoption of best practices, and data-driven processes across the stakeholder groups. The overall approach must continue to support the organization even as it adopts new technologies - like Cloud, High Performance Computing, and Machine Learning - to support its healthcare research mission.
The Business Intelligence Developer will use a consultative approach to and a deep understanding of current technology and cybersecurity to analyze and consolidate technical requirements, develop data-driven dashboards that meet those requirements, and work collaboratively across various stakeholder groups to drive adoption. With knowledge of data visualization and analysis, the Business Intelligence Developer will improve the quality of data for decision making, assist in dashboarding, developing routines to automate and consolidate data collection from data calls, correlate metrics using ServiceNow and routine reporting, and identifying and tracking useful metrics. The Business Intelligence Developer will also develop and conduct training sessions, capturing and incorporating feedback to improve the quality of provided products over time. This person must be resourceful, detail-oriented, 100% client-focused, and possess a continuing passion for their profession.
Responsibilities
15+ years' experience as a Business Intelligence Developer and Analyst, with expertise in developing operational data stores (ODS), data warehouses, and data marts. In-depth experience with data extraction, transformation, and Load (ETL), analytical report development, dashboards, and visualization. Significant database design experience to support a flexible reporting architecture using relational, dimensional, and emerging database design techniques. Excellent communications skills, business acumen, and planning skills are critical. Ability to develop, design, and deploy a comprehensive data management strategy as well as an integrated reporting and analytics platform. Data analytics and design Design and Architecture Report development using various BI tools OLAP analysis Dashboards Visualization Standardized Reporting ETL design, development, and deployment Design and architecture Data modeling and design Dimensional and relational Requirements solicitation and documentation Agile Project Methodology Project Management Complex SQL development
Qualifications
B.S. in a Business, Communications, Informational Technology 10+ years overall experience 5+ years in an analyst or similar role (e.g., data analyst, project analyst) Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Power-Point and Project Excellent written and oral communication skills
Additional Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust QlikView, Tableau, Business Objects, or similar tool SharePoint Jira / Confluence Informatica, Pentaho, or similar ETL tool
