This position is with Intelsat's Network Planning Engineering team. Part of the Network Engineering organization, this team is responsible for planning the physical infrastructure of both the IntelsatOne backbone network as well as the global teleport network. This physical infrastructure is required to enable access to Intelsat's fleet of over 50 satellites.
The physical infrastructure enables services to be deployed across the network including Managed Media (Intelsat's media customers include all major US and World broadcasters as well as cable service providers), IP and Broadband services to land based and mobile customers (Intelsat's Broadband customers include maritime/aero mobility services providers, major Telcos and Cellular service providers).
As a part of this team, the Sr. Program Manager, Antenna Planning will be working with seasoned engineers to help perform satellite ground infrastructure and terrestrial network infrastructure planning, inventory management, facility cost control, and advanced customer solution development.

Responsible for strategic vision and network optimization of Intelsat's antenna assets. Own the antenna deployment strategy for all teleports including TTC, Monitoring and Commercial antennas. Manage the hub antenna capital budget, including forecasting and planning activity Provide analytics reporting for HPA availability, power costs, and utilization across the global network. Apply expert level Project Management skills and processes, including development and management of large and complex project plans, budgets, resources and dynamic scopes and deliverables. Develop Project Plans to address asset deployments, new satellite builds and commercial requirements. Develop cost models and business case templates for ground infrastructure. Anticipate and clearly articulate risks, opportunities, implications and options, as well as offer sound judgement and recommendations for mitigating program impacting events Coordinate with Planning and Design teams forecasted requirements and impacts to the teleport network. Develop deployment strategies based on new technologies that may provide improved efficiencies. Establish policies for managing contracted vendor facilities to enable effective network planning and management Work collaboratively with Teleport Operations, Network Engineering and Strategy to provide guidance during all Statement of Work (SOW) process, ensuring that final documentation is clear and accurate to ensure the greatest work efficiency
You should definitely have:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics or similar discipline. A minimum of ten (10) years of satellite and/or terrestrial network solutions development experience. Strong, demonstrated Program Management skills, experience delivering multi-faceted satellite/terrestrial network projects involving hub antennas, carrier circuits, colocation, fiber builds and service implementation. Experience developing and deploying satellite networks for customers on a global scale. Strong knowledge of RF antennas, theory and associated ground infrastructure. Previous experience in antenna systems and controls, Telecom, Broadband, Video, TT&C, IP Services, or Facilities Infrastructure preferred Strong, demonstrated, structured problem-solving skills in a complex business environment. Prior experience with budget management and forecasting preferred Excellent organizational and database skills, with the ability to coordinate between multiple systems Effective English language skills, both written and oral and ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences. Advanced MS Office Suite skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Intermediate proficiency in Outlook Ability and desire to work in a cross functional, collaborative environment
It would be nice if you had:
Master's in Business or Engineering. PMP Certification Experience building budgets and business cases.
