Job Title: Communications Specialist

VT Group is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist located in Chantilly, VA to assist with the development and implementation of the Company's marketing communications strategy and to be responsible for the day-to-day management of marketing and communications programs. The Marketing Communications Specialist will create a wide range of compelling content, both copy and creative, for digital and print media that aligns with the corporate strategy, brand, and messaging, and effectively describes and promotes the Company's service offerings and technical capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a superb creative and technical writer; and be a highly motivated self-starter, well-organized, and detail oriented. He/she must be comfortable working independently or as part of a collaborative cross-functional team. Furthermore, he/she must possess strong project management skills and be adept at working in a fast-paced business environment on multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines. He/she must also possess a foundation of relevant knowledge of marketing communications as well as have demonstrate practical experience in the field.


Responsibilities
Assist with the development and implementation of the marketing communications strategy and manage associated programs. Collaborate with operations, business development, human resources/recruiting, and other cross-functional executives and technical experts to create presentations, brochures, factsheets, white papers, press releases, advertisements, webpages, social media and blog posts that raise brand awareness and accelerate the sales and/or talent acquisition processes. Manage the Company's online presence, to includes maintaining company online content on the external website, social media sites, corporate calendars, and the internal employee intranet. Assist with conference, trade show, and other external and internal corporate event planning and coordination, including but not limited to registration, administration, logistics, set up, and tear down. Create and maintain trade show display materials and all Company-branded items. Evaluate the results and return-on-investment (ROI) of marketing communication campaigns. Build and maintain professional relationships with and serve as the primary point-of-contact for relevant media channels and outlets. Lead the development and publication of the company newsletter, to include soliciting article ideas, and drafting and editing content. Proofread and copyedit materials to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to style, including the Company's visual identity standards.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English or related discipline. 3-5 years of experience in marketing communications or a related field, with some exposure to event planning. Superb creative and technical written communication skills, as well as strong oral and presentation skills. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite with a solid understanding of design elements (Color, Shape, Texture, Space, Form) and principles (Unity, Balance, Scale, Contrast). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Superior interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
