Cape Fox Shared Services and Eagle Health are accepting resumes for aPhysician Assistantto work full time at the FDA in White Oak, MD

The Physician Assistant will examine, diagnose, and provide treatment and counseling to employees as per clinic SOPs, and work as part of a team to coordinate occupational health services provided in the clinic.
Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed Provide information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action Implement physician directives Assesses patient health by interviewing patients Perform physical examinations Obtain, update, and study medical histories Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies interpreting test results Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, managing wounds and infections Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens Give normal growth and development information Discuss family planning; providing counseling on emotional problems of daily living Promote wellness and health maintenance Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation Anticipate future legislation Enforce adherence to requirements Advise management on needed actions Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops Review professional publications Establish personal networks Participate in professional societies Develop health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements
Graduate of a Physician Assistant program Certification by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners in the State where the Physician Assistant practices One year of postgraduate clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in Occupational Health Biannual certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Sit or Stand throughout a regular work day Ability to work on computer for long periods Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Self-motivated with minimal oversight Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Some travel may be required Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
