We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as the Information System Security Officer to work on Peterson AFB in the National Security Space Institute (NSSI). The position will manage all PWS-specified tasks in an integrated manner.
This position is contingent on contract award.
Responsibilities
Be IAT Level II IAW AFI 17-130 and DoD 8570.01-M certified. Ensures information systems are functional and secure. Complies with the roles and responsibilities defined in AFI 17-130, AFI 17-101, and DoD 8570.01-M. Provides accreditation boundary services and evaluates new apps in the development environment. Supports continued maintenance and creation of the Security Policy. Provides analysis support regarding industry best practices. Promotes defense-in-depth to include integrity, availability, authenticity, confidentiality, and non-repudiation of information is accomplished.
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in security 3 years experience communicating and reviewing security responsibilities before granting user access to Information Systems
Desired Skills:
Communication Ability to Work Under Pressure Decision Making Time Management Self-motivation Conflict Resolution Leadership Adaptability Teamwork Creativity Innovative Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
Education:
Bachelors degree from an accredited university CISSP-ISSAP Certification
Clearance: TS/SCI
Travel : 10%
