ICI Services is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our growing Information Warfare practice in Washington, DC. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Systems Acquisition, Engineering, Information Warfare, and Logistics solutions to government clients in 14 states and the District of Columbia. We need a Senior-level Machine Learning/Data Science Software Engineer ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.
Security Clearance:
Applicant must be able to obtain and hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance Responsibilities:
Work directly with Government clients to identify requirements, develop concept of operations, and draft architecture to support intended operational need Lead design, development, test efforts of a system within intended operational context Conduct peer review, adjudication, and change management of system design Maintain requirements baseline for system Design complex system solutions for enterprise and operational grid architectures Lead development of system- and enterprise-level custom data analysis algorithms Design data acquisition and analysis solutions to automate business decisions and translate analytics of current data trends into predictive recommendations Provide guidance and mentorship for junior personnel on team Experience Requirements:
Required experience:
Demonstrated experience in the following:
Designing Data Science and/or Machine Learning solutions to address complex business or tactical challenges
Software development experience using C++, Java, Python, R, or similar languages in an operational business environment
Developing analytics models with at least one open source data science platform (such as Hadoop, Neo4j, R, MongoDB, etc.)
Designing and developing database systems using SQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL
Software development following Agile or DevOps processes
Desired experience:
Demonstrated experience with any of the following:
Supporting DoD Acquisition, R&D, and/or Rapid Prototyping programs
Integration of C5ISR data types
Automation of industrial control systems monitoring and/or actuation
Developing custom ontologies and model frameworks to meet evolving system requirements
Designing mission-focused AI/ML solutions that include system of systems integration and data transformation across at least two disparate data sources
Automation of business processes
Development of predictive models that result in cost and/or time savings for US Government systems
System component design and development of robotics systems (remotely piloted vehicles, drones, etc.), sensor networks, or control systems autonomy
Relevant US Navy operational or commercial experience
Educational Requirements:
Minimum relevant professional experience:
4 years + Graduate Degree in related field, or
8 years + Bachelor Degree, or
9 years + Associate Degree, or
11 years + High School Diploma
