Job Description:

Panum is looking to hire an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Instructor. This position is based in Fort Lee, VA., for Marton Technologies, a member of the Panum Group of companies.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Instructor will execute classroom/laboratory, conference, discussion, demonstration, and practical exercises including course introductions, technical information delivery, hardware practical exercise and various forms of computer-assisted instruction. The instructor will explain instructional objectives and expected academic achievements to each incoming class as identified in the Individual Student Assessment Plan. They will teach all assigned topics in accordance with the Program of Instruction. They will maintain proficiency in instructional techniques as set forth in TRADOC policies and the Common Faculty Development Instructor Course. They will incorporate current examples in the teach process, maintain proficiency in the use of training aids, equipment, devices, and instructional materials. These instructors will maintain classroom management techniques that represent professionalism and good discipline. These instructors will instruct the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Phase 1 course.

Responsibilities

All instruction shall conform to the principles and concepts contained in the Government-approved program of instruction and shall assure performance to standards for all stated tasks.
Instruction shall include classroom/laboratory conference instruction, discussion, demonstration, practical exercises, testing, and student critiques.
Instructors shall provide classroom support which may include: preparing classroom or training area; reviewing lesson plans, subject matter material; inserting and removing faults impairments and problems; picking up and returning training aids/devices; maintaining equipment modifications implantation and updating training aids/devices.
Instructors are expected to help identify any safety hazards to the US Army personnel during range operations and field training events. Fort Lee, VA is the primary performance location.
A mix of required hours to meet the mission will not exceed a forty-hour work week.
Provide instruction in accordance with TRADOC approved Programs of Instruction (POI) within appropriate skill set area to students.
Serve as back-up instructor as needed when Primary Military Instructor is unavailable.
Assist in administering exams and practical exercises.
Execute training support during hours identified in the schedule. Instructors may be required to work a variety of schedules to accommodate the training requirements.
Assist in revising lesson plans and presentations as needed.
Review reports, literature, attends meetings, to maintain knowledge and training as necessary to provide a high level of performance and job expertise.
Perform miscellaneous office duties such as answering telephones, office support, etc. as required. Keep office space in a clean and publicly presentable condition.


Skills Required

Must be able to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
Two years as an EOD Team Leader and hold an EOD Senior Badge Holder.
Graduate of NAVSCOLEOD Phase 2.
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint to ensure ability to access all required training tools.
Graduate of the Army Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFDIC) within the last 5 years or other service instructor course within the last 5 years. Certificate must be provided for training folders.
Graduate of the Installation Staff and Contractors Training Course (ISCTC) within the last 3 years. Certificate must be provided for training folders.
Superior written/verbal/listening communication skills.
Able to work with minimum guidance, have excellent organization, planning, coordination and problem solving skills, be detailed oriented, and have outstanding time management and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to perform duties requiring moderate lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Must have average agility and dexterity, be able to stand, sit or walk for long periods of time and perform this work outside and during inclement weather.
