Job Description:
SimVentions is looking for a software architect to make design choices, coordinate and oversee technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Examine the code base hosted on a system and make knowledgable recommendations on future design
- Design, develop and execute software solutions to address system requirements
- Provide architectural recommendations to the technical team
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform
- Troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficient
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 or more years of professional experience developing software architecture, requirements, and design
- Must be proficient with C++
- Experience with SysML (e.g. Rhapsody or CAMEO)
- Must be technically-inclined, a great problem-solver, and possess excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:Proficiency with Java
Education:Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an
engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
Clearance: Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
Travel: 5% -Local travel (Fairfax, VA; Washington, D.C.; Annapolis), approximately 3 weeks/year
