Job Title:UNIX Sys Admin I
Location:Shaw AFB, SC
Clearance Level: Active DoD - Minimum Secret
Required Certification(s): OSSA Level 1 or higher or Red Had Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or higher or Linux+
DoD 8570 Level 2 or higher.
Relocation assistance is offered for the selected candidate.

SUMMARY:
Unix System Administrator Level 1 shall perform standard system administration, including installation, configuration, operation, management, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, inspecting and maintaining server systems including administration of all core and functional services/systems for all of the organization\u0027s networks.
DUTIES:
Support to ensure a secure operating environment by monitoring user access and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Provide technical assistance of all assigned projects.
Support in providing desktop/server and software application integration support.
Support in system configuration management.
Support in providing software and firmware maintenance.
Support in performing account management and work with the ISM.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Certifications:
6+ years of Unix/Linux experienceOSSA Level 1 or higher or Red Had Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or higher or Linux+DoD 8570 Level 2 or higherITILv3 CertificationBackground Needed and Years of Experience:
Associates of Science degree in Computer Science or related field
Technical Skills (Preferred):
Oracle Solaris and Ubuntu Unix experience a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Contractor Shaw AFB, SC site with 0%-10% travel possible, depending on requirement to attend event planning conferences, at customer discretion. Possible off-hours work to support exercise planning/execution, project implementation, or 24/7 project events. General office environment, with periodic walking or driving to other buildings on base and working with standard office equipment. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, with no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
Strength Demands: Medium – 50 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
