**Job Summary**

Our Geo Engineering team in Stockholm is seeking a Rock Engineer experienced in providing specialist input to a range of transportation engineering projects such as highways, railways, tunnels and bridges.

To be successful the candidate will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the industry with a proven track record in the delivery of technical projects and be fully conversant with the standards that apply throughout the industry.

The position will suite a person who wishes to assist in the development of innovative, cost effective and buildable solutions in an environment that is collaborative, stimulating and demanding.

**Office Overview**

Our Sweden team comprises around 25 staff, providing one-stop access to a variety of services. The Stockholm office traditionally has a diverse range of interesting projects in Sweden and overseas and over many years has built a reputation for successfully delivering engineering schemes in Sweden and many other countries.

We are looking to enhance and grow this team with individuals with a sound technical ability that share our enthusiasm and determination to support our expanding workload.

The team provides services ranging from project management, feasibility studies, detailed design and construction on a wide range of contracts and supports other AECOM business lines where their projects have a Geotechnical Engineering interface. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include leading contractors and developers.

**Job Responsibilities**

The Rock Engineer will be involved in engineering projects specific to design and construction of buildings, bridges, dams, levees, tunnels, pipelines and other infrastructures. Duties include:

+ Performing analyses

+ Preparing BIM models and recommendations

+ Reviewing regulations and standards necessary to conduct technical studies and carrying out project design and permitting work.

+ Preparing and/or peering review designs, specifications and construction documents

+ Assembling and documenting data using software that includes: Excel, Word, AutoCAD and MicroStation.

+ Applying QA/QC requirements to their own work and work of project team.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Geological or equivalent studies.

+ Minimum 2 years' engineering experience in the field of hard and igneous rocks

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

+ Knowledgeable about Health and Safety standards.

+ A very good or professional command of the Swedish and English language (written and spoken)

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Drivers license
