Scope of Job:
Lead the design of EV infrastructure projects. They will be responsible for drafting designs and coordinating with engineering firms to deliver permit-ready drawings.

Responsibilities:
95% - Project Engineering
- Develop and deliver permit-ready drawing sets to the Project Management team in a safe, timely manner
- Draft conceptual design for each site including simple electrical drawings, basic single-line energy diagrams, and civil design
- Coordinate with external engineering to finalize stamped permit set
- Create standardized templates for different project sizes
- Create best methods based on lessons learned from different projects and AHJs
5% - Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience -
• 2-4 years minimum experience working with the design and/or installation of EV charging stations and EV charging station networks
• 2-4 years minimum experience as an electrical design engineer
• Fluent in AutoCAD and other electrical design programs
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Strong electrical engineering, design engineering and construction background
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a professional environment, working both with internal and external customers.
• Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Professional, dependable, customer service oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
• Organized - prioritizes work activities and time efficiently.
• Detail oriented - demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness to ensure work quality.
 
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities -
• Experience working in Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure Design preferred
• ADA Knowledge around parking and path of travel
• STEM degree or similar experience a plus.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
• Self-starter who can complete tasks and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision

Working Conditions:
Travel is required as needed to address new projects and customer needs.  Field visits require potential standing, walking, and able to document/measure existing conditions.  Otherwise, normal office environment.  Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.  Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
