Job Description:

Applied Research Associates, Inc. is seeking a Graphics Illustrator to provide on-site support for a Department of Defense (DoD) customer. This position provides support for the development of marketing materials, presentation collateral, proposals, and interactive coursework. Applicant must be able to create and brief engaging presentations using visual products based of physics-based simulations and surrogate data from operational systems to include images, logos, animations, text, 3D CAD models, and videos for government customers.

The successful candidate:
Plans, coordinates, and creates brief engaging presentations for a display using visual products based of physics-based simulations and surrogate data from operational systems to include images, logos, animations, text, 3D CAD models, and videos for a wide range of government customersAssists in preparing and developing media to support publication development; produce technical and commercial documentation support assignments; view graph and interactive digital presentations; develop various forms of marketing materials.Oversees graphics artists and staff designers to develop marketing materials, presentation collateral, proposals Provides meeting and event coordination to include planning, execution, and close-out of all logistics.Facilitates clients with designing innovative ways of presenting information.Graphically depicts and provides the voice of the DoD Client to subject matter experts and program management to help define scope and requirements for work packages to include, Modeling and Simulation, Studies and data analysis, Product definition, exploitation, and dissemination.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in graphics design, communication, or related discipline with over 2 years of experience (or equivalent work experience 8+ years)Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud, including but not limited to: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and Blender (3D creation software)Ability to distill complicated technical concepts, briefs, and data outputs into succinct data productsBasic understanding of data visualizations and realizationAbility to operate in a Windows and Linux computation environmentsAbility to accommodate change through new tasking, and new toolsDesire to develop and apply creative solutions to a wide range of problemsUS citizen with a minimum DoD Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access
Desired Qualifications:
Current DoD TS/SCI security clearanceFlexible, enthusiastic, creative, and a quick learner who can adapt to rapidly changing environments and demands in a positive manner.Proven and effective written and verbal communications skills, interpersonal skills and customer focus skills.Experience collaborating in a team environment, with customer, teammate and subcontractor relationships.
This position is contingent upon award of a contract expected in Spring 2020 supporting the Department of Defense.
