Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Configuration Analyst to join our team in New Carrollton, MD. The successful candidate will join a Configuration Management (CM) team maintaining and installing software baselines in a development and maintenance environment.

Essential Job Functions:
Perform software builds to create new releases for test and deployment.Work with software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve build issues.Document and update software build and installation procedures.Install Solaris, Linux, and Windows operating systems and application software.Conduct configuration audits.Produce CM reports.Prepare for and participate in Configuration Control Boards to include recording meeting minutes.Document and update CM processes and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Due to customer requirements, US Citizenship is required.Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.Bachelor's in Science degree; a total of 10 years of experience may be accepted lieu of a degree.5 years of experience in software configuration management, to include performing software builds.At least 1 DOD 8570 IAT Level 1 Certification (Sec+, Net+, etc.) is required within 6 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in the use of Unix.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).Working knowledge of Perl and/or Unix Shell scripting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Working knowledge of Git, GitHub, Ansible, Artifactory.Working knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Atlassian Confluence.Working knowledge of Linux, Mac OS X, and MS Windows.
