Description
Command Post Technologies, Inc. ("CPT"), is looking for a Contracts Manager (CM) to be based in our Suffolk, VA, office. As a CM, you will work with client and business units and project teams on contracts administration/management & policy compliance matters. The CM will be responsible for initiating, tracking and monitoring contract changes, deliverables, correspondence and risks, and maintaining documentation. The CM ensures the management of government contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and customer requirements.


Responsibilities Include:
Reviews and manages contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are metPrepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modificationsActs as the primary contact between the project team and/or business unit and legal, ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptlyActs as liaison between company and clients/vendorsResponds to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisionsIdentifies risks and issues, suggests alternatives that lead to the best solutionResponsible for consultation and escalation to Operations/Leadership of contractual, Contracts Manager or Business positioning issues which are not solved satisfactorily by the project team in a timely mannerResponsible for implementation of CM processesReview price analysis and cost analysis, when necessaryResponsible for informing the project team of the requirements of the contract and monitoring complianceEnsure proper coordination with accounting, sales, and program management on contractual mattersSupervise the administration of government contracts and subcontractsReview and approve accurate execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Consulting Agreements, and SubcontractsAchieves a reasonable level of understanding of company's major business areas in order to communicate effectively with project Senior Executives and provide relevant adviceMay provide training to Contract Management or program personnel qualificationsDevelops and integrates contract management tools, templates, methods and processes for the engagementRequirements
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of Contract Management experience in a Government contractor environment (contractor side; not government side) Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and an additional 5 years of direct contract management will be considered Expert Knowledge of government regulations and all contract types Expert Knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, ITAR and government regulatory standards Ability to manage and handle multiple complex projects and details simultaneously Ability to manage department deadlines Strong reporting capability and exceptional attention to detail CFCM and/or CPCM a plus (not required)Other Responsibilities:
• Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the Contract Department
• Perform other duties as assigned
