Overview
IPKeys Power Partners is a technology service provider of Cyber Protection solutions, data management solutions, technical services, project management and consulting services. IPKeys is focused on helping utility service providers achieve maximum return on their investment dollars in highly secured Smart Grid-related control, monitoring and metering automation systems. IPKeys is based in New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, California, Louisiana and Texas.
IPKeys is seeking to hire a NERC Subject Matter Expert. The NERC Subject Matter Expert has the responsibility to plan, implement, oversee and maintain networks and security-related projects. Candidates must have the technical abilities to support the daily needs of IPKeys Power Partners Clients in the following ways:
This position is located in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Responsibilities
Document content for regulatory reports, including internal controls, that describe how the client complies with each regulatory Assemble and document all evidence used to demonstrate compliance to the client staff. Monitor pending and approved changes to regulations, provide comments and make recommendations on behalf of members, and share industry best practices. Evaluate risks and recommend controls, including, but not limited to inherent risk assessment and compliance oversight Develop and keep current internal regulatory policies, processes, and train member subject matter experts (SMEs) on internal policies processes and procedures. Document and monitor the Internal Compliance Program (ICP) and prepare ICP progress Develop mitigation plans and monitor those plans to assist to monitor and administer the NERC Alert system Develop, maintain, and monitor an incident response and reporting process structure Performing a gap analysis and annual internal audit reviews Prepare annual self-certifications for the client's submission. Assistance with completing and tracking Reliability Security Audit Worksheets (RSAWs). Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, including mock audits. Assist in monitoring status of SME's deadlines leading up to self-certification, spot checks, audits, and action plan milestone due dates
Qualifications
The ideal candidate possesses the business competencies and interest to play an integral role in developing an effective managed security service platform. Intimate knowledge and experience with the NERC standards, specifically Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), is required. Since all of our clients are part of the Bulk Electric System (BES), the ideal candidate has experience working with industrial control systems, preferably direct experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems in power system environments.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or IT related field; equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirement waived for candidate with demonstrated past performance and subject matter expertise
