Job Description:

Overview
We are currently seeking a subject matter expert in shipboard and Ashore Command and Control systems, specifically in Next Generation Command and Control Processor and Air Defense Systems Integrator. Ability to assess Aegis Combat System suites, CDLMS, and Link-16 Gateway and host simulators, as well as Satellite TDL-J, Multicast TDL-J tactical data link systems and associated interface cabling and computer control equipment. Provides test and analysis support of the tactical data links, documents Test Observation reports, and conducts root cause analysis of CDLMS data.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Job Duties:
Provides support as the Common Data Link Management System (CDLMS) and Tactical Data Link (TDL) specialist. Provides test and analysis support of the tactical data links, documents Test Observation Reports (TORs), and conducts root cause analysis of CDLMS data.
Provide expertise in C4I systems, specifically CDLMS & Next Generation Command and Control Processor (NGC2P). Provides TDL systems setup, maintenance, test, troubleshooting and analysis of all TDLs, including Link-11, Link-16, STJ, and JREAP-C protocols and is the C2P/CDLMS/MLIU/TNP administrator.
Independently performs test engineering support for C2P, CDLMS, and NGC2P interoperability testing of Aegis baseline systems.Acts independently providing TDL systems setup, maintenance, test, troubleshooting, and analysis of all TDL links, including Link 4A, Link-11, Link-16, STJ, and JREAP-C protocols.Independently performs data evaluation analysis for C2P, CDLMS, and NGC2P during Aegis system testing, and associated demonstration events and reports the results.
Build, manage, and maintain hardware/software product inventories comprised of C2P/CDLMS/MLIU/TNP hard drives, requisite build media and application data and JTIDS Network Libraries (JNL).
Work with Site Planning Agents (SPA), site Government, and site engineers on installation, maintenance, and testing of new TDL equipment, link system grooms, and tech assist efforts.
Familiarity with shipboard Combat Systems (CS) and Interoperability testing/assessment of Aegis Combat System (ACS) suites and associated interfaces, NGC2P/CDLMS, TDL systems simulators, as well as the various TDL protocols and mediums.

Equipment Used: Standard computer equipment; US Navy Tactical Combat Systems, & Simulation Stimulation (SIM/STIM) systems.

Typical Working Conditions: General office environment; Computer/Equipment lab; US Naval Ship (Non-Hostile)

Essential Physical Tasks: Must be able to climb up and down ladders aboard Navy Ships. Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, using a computer, keyboard and mouse. Ability to lift 20 lbs. on an occasional basis.The ability to use a personal computer and data entry device (keyboard and mouse) on a constant basis.
Written Communications: Possesses solid writing skills and the ability to develop detailed informational briefs, point papers, Test Observation Reports (TORs), and test plans/procedures as required. Provides technical status, project updates, and issue identification input to Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) to management. Provides post event status reports upon completion of all T&E activities, making sure to include test supported, issue/anomaly documentation, and detailed media files.

Verbal Communications: Demonstrates excellent, clear, and concise verbal communication skills. Active communicator, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.

Qualifications

Skills / Qualifications:
Familiarity with shipboard Combat Systems and Interoperability testing/assessment of Aegis Combat System suites, NGC2P/CDLMS, and Link-16 Gateway and host simulators, as well as Satellite TDL-J, Multicast TDL-J and associated interfaces and computer equipment desired.Subject matter expertise in U.S. Navy C5I systems applicable to Navy shipboard Combat Systems, Tactical Data Links, Computer Networks, and associated satellite communications equipment.Five (5) years experience with Tactical Data Links, Naval Combat Systems, Test and Evaluation.Knowledge and understanding of the MIL-STD 6011, MIL-STD 3011 message protocols.Knowledge and understanding of the following external communication systems is required: UTJ, MTJ and STJ.Knowledge and experience with AEGIS shipboard external communications systems and tactical data links. Knowledge of standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel)

Customer Interface Activities: Directly interfaces with site government personnel during test events and root cause anomalies, based on test observation reports. Attends briefs and data analysis working groups. Develops and gives briefs to staff and command level audiences.

Project Management Tasks: The ability to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure optimum productivity, and to execute the duties of the position independently and with limited to no supervision. Ability to complete all tasks in a timely manner within established time frames.

Work Schedule: Regular attendance to be performed on company premises or US government facilities during regular business hours. The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements. Ability to support travel to attend meetings and participate in exercises and other Fleet support requirements.

Travel: Potential domestic travel 25% of the time by automobile, air, Navy ship, etc. Long distance (>500 miles) travel to other US Government and Contractor facilities.

Minimum Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant technical discipline is desired.

U.S. Citizenship is required

Security Clearance:
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
