Career Opportunity
We are currently seeking candidates for a Material Expediter to manage requirements for timely fulfillment, expediting supply system material, analyzing and performing exception processing and coordinating actions with Supply Technicians/Procurement Specialists and other personnel and supply activities involved. The successful candidate will be working with our US Navy customer located at the Port Hueneme base.

Responsibilities
Expediting the movement of priority items and follow-up on overdue material, while keeping the planning department and sites' Program Managers informed of material status. The routing of parts, assemblies and materials into or out of various sites. Coordination with the Quality Assurance Team, Procurement Management staff, and Supply Chain for the expediting of received material and return of non-conforming material. Acquiring authorization from the supply base for returns. Process move orders in the database system to track material movement to facilitate the returns. Work with Procurement and Operations to locate and expedite needed incoming material. Process Ship Requirements and deliver material to shipping to ensure daily critical shipments are made on-time.Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED is required; Associates' degree or higher is preferred. Five (5) years' experience in a similar role for US Naval environments At least two (2) years' experience working in a logistics, materials handling, warehousing, inventory control, inventory management. Familiarity with automated management databases to coordinate, process and manage spare parts requisitions. Experience in the Investigation and resolution of a broad range of requisition or sales order reject actions. Experience performing detailed research and edits of requisition orders rejected by the Navy or outside processing systems. Knowledge of process utilized to search supply manuals and catalogs to obtain substitutes or interchangeable items of supply. Experience in preparing documentation and requirements to procure non-standard parts through local purchases via credit cards or contracting. Knowledge of material coordination and requisition processing.

Qualifications
Must possess a valid Driver's License Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
