Description/Job Summary
This is an AbilityOne contract which requires most work hours must be performed by a Team Member with Significant Disabilities. Due to the program requirements, this requisition needs to be filled by a person that meets the AbilityOne criteria. Overview:
This position is responsible for safely performing food service duties as assigned by management. Quality customer service is expected to be provided to customers at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job as it pertains to this position. Duties include: Perform inventory validity functions. Adhere to Government standard operating procedures. Clean and maintain all storage areas. Communicate with cooks, food runners, and supervisors when food items get low or run out. Supply cooks with food in a timely manner. Unload food and supplies. Complete Government forms and account for food and supplies. Report supply needs and equipment needing replaced or repaired. Clean office areas. Comply with all training of chemicals: use, mixing, storage, and appropriate disposal.
Qualifications:

At least 2 years experience in a formal setting of food preparation and sanitation. Understand oral and/or written instructions. Interact appropriately with customers, government personnel and staff members. Must be able to pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background screenings as appropriate. Ability to read and quantify recipes, and menus. Physical:
Schedules are subject to change. May require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon and/or evening hours; as well as weekends and Holidays. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive) and lift up to 40 pounds.
