A Weld Engineer job in Auburn Hills, MI is available through Belcan. This is a direct hire opportunity with a large Tier 1 automotive supplier. To be considered for this role you will an Engineering degree with a minimum of five to ten years of weld engineering experience. Expert level knowledge of MIG, TIG, Resistance and Robotic welding is required. In this position you will be responsible for building welding techniques, procedures and application of welding equipment to production applications.
Welding Engineer Job Duties:
Develops welding procedures to guide welding and production personnel
Selects or designs robot end-of-arm tools to meet specifications
Develops and conducts robot and related equipment training programs
Develops test procedures
Conducts and reports on product validation tests
Writes and edits test machine programming
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelors in Engineering from an accredited University
Five to Ten years of weld and test engineering in a manufacturing environment
Expert level knowledge in MIG, TIG, Resistance and Robotic Welding
Candidate must be able to work for any employer in the US without current or future sponsorship.
