A Weekend Quality Engineer job with our client in Chester, CT is now accepting applications. This is a direct, permanent role with our aerospace manufacturing client. To be considered, you will have a B.S. Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline along with 5 years of experience in quality and/ or manufacturing; an Aerospace manufacturing environment. In this role, you will Provide technical and administrative leadership to ensure that performance and quality of products conform to established company, international, and governmental regulatory standards, agency guidelines, and customer requirements by implementing and maintaining quality assurance policies, processes, procedures, and controls.

***Weekend shift is consisted of Friday, Saturday, Sunday (12 hour shifts)***

Weekend Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and analyze statistical and product/process performance data to recommend and implement improvements in the electronics value stream
• Provide Quality support with the objective of improving process performance and capability
• Execute the initiatives of the organization in the development, implementation, and improvement of the appropriate Quality Management Systems throughout the operation with all the documentation required
• Provide Quality interface and expertise between the organization and its customers and suppliers to proactively assure that needs and expectations are understood and satisfied
• Lead and maintain Quality Plans and Production Plan Approval Process (to include Inspection Plans/ Techniques, Statistical Process Control Plans, Process Mapping, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, etc.) for your products and processes
• Develop, implement, and audit inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions to support the value stream
• Facilitate the investigation and elimination of quality problems, and follow-up on corrective actions
• Lead problem solving activities and events and ensure that issues affecting product quality have effective, data-based, problem resolution plans to include, containment, root cause, corrective, and preventive actions, as well as statistical validation of corrective action effectiveness to minimize both product quality and delivery impact
• Make recommendations that improve products and processes quality, throughput and/or costs
• Perform initial MRB reviews and document nonconformance concession submittals to customer
• Provide technical expertise to company employees, suppliers, customers and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) support.
• Ensure parts are handled and protected in a suitable manner to prevent damage during operations and movement.

• Weekend Quality Engineer Job Qualifications:
• B.S. Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
• Understanding of standards, implementation, and certification process of Quality Management Systems such as AS9100, ISO-9001, or other industry-specific standard or regulation.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality and/ or manufacturing; an Aerospace manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Must have thorough understanding of problem solving methods, i.e., 8D, root cause analysis, etc., and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems. Demonstrate ability to lead problem-solving and quality improvement events and utilize tools and techniques
• Aerospace and applicable regulatory authority knowledge/experience desired.
• Knowledge of effective new product development and launch system. Strong knowledge of the associated tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Gage Capability, Process Capability, Process Flow, Design for Six Sigma, Preventive Maintenance, etc.
• American Society for Quality Certified Engineer desired.
• Knowledge of ERP & Quality Data Management Software (ie. Infor-Syteline & QDA Datamyte software) is preferred.
