A Test Support Verification Engineer job is currently available through Belcan. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits, with frequent travel to support on-site testing at customer facilities. Ideally, candidate would be based out of our Indianapolis office; however, candidate can be located at any of our Belcan delivery centers. To be considered for this position, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field along with five plus years of experience involving systems verification, embedded systems, controls, development, testing, or software programming.
Test Support Verification Engineer job duties:
• Support and verify testing for engine control systems.
• Run the EMS, loading trims, and debugging during engine testing.
• Perform verification tasks to satisfy the requirements of DO-178B Control Systems.
• Create and deliver new requirements based on SIT testing, find and fix testing, and problem report investigations.
• Modify test scripts per provided standards, independent review of test scripts, and documentation of test results.
• The tasks required include the use of some company proprietary tools and languages, which will require training, including extended periods of time at the customer facilities.
Requirements:
•Belcan performs government contract work which requires U.S. Citizenship for this position. Due to the nature of the work performed, candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
• Travel for this position will be at least 50%.
Strongly Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software development, Controls, or a related field.
• Five plus years of work experience involving aerospace controls software verification and engine test support.
• Experience with systems integration, software, verification for the following: DO178B/C, Python, DOORS, etc.
• Experience with aerospace engine controls, components, and general functionality from a mechanical/electrical approach.
• General software coding knowledge.
Desired Qualifications:
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Must be "self-motivated" and able to set priority and direction with minimal guidance.
• Excellent people interaction, teamwork, and oral/ written communication skills.
• Experiences with the following: Real-time simulator (RTS), Lucol, Ada, VMS, MKS Integrity, CVS (Concurrent Versions System).
