Job Description
CACI is seeking a Continuous Process Improvement (SME). This CPI Subject Matter Expert, certified Master Black Belt/Lean Six Sigma technical expert will  support business mission areas of operation within a major research and development enterprise. This position provide support and oversite of locations within Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. This requires managing a portfolio of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) projects/events across the enterprise.  The (SME) will be responsible for the mentoring, coaching, and coordinate training for a local group of Certified Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belts and Green Belts in the performance of these CPI projects and events.

What You'll Get to Do:
Mentor/Coach project team leads in defining customer critical to quality factors, seek out root causes, substantiate with data, plan and implement solutions that achieve positive outcomes.Guide subordinate members and supported units throughout projects on CPI/LSS quantitative and qualitative techniques, process improvement frameworks, cost benefit analysis, and project management that utilizes robust process improvement and analytical tools.Provide training and support to metric owners, ensuring customer requirements and process objectives are well defined, with measures of success with regards to performance and effectiveness, and ensure applicable performance data are incorporated into the strategic plan.Train and coordinate in developing solutions and measuring the implementation of the recommended processes pertinent metric(s) necessary to grow a team of Process Improvement Specialists, Black Belts, and Green Belts.Provide project leadership and technical support in the creation, management and sustainment of a methodical approach to increasing quality and performance throughout all business areas.Facilitate significant quality and process improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma and various Continuous Process Improvement strategies in support of Army strategic and operational alignments.Evaluate project proposals submitted to determine their suitability as Lean Six Sigma projects.Help facilitate the CPI Champions Board and maintain the CPI SharePoint environment and registry of local CPI approved projectsAbility to communicate the meaning, assumptions, and use of quantitative and qualitative tools to team members, management, stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.Maintain an established standard operating procedure for CPI.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree required and ten or more years of related experience.Must have a minimum of seven years of experience in Continuous Process Improvement.Must be computer system competent and able to apply business operating system applications to retrieve, interpret, and report relevant performance data and metrics.Must possess strong problem-solving and systems thinking abilitiesMust have outstanding interpersonal skills such as providing constructive feedback, meeting facilitation, interviewing, training, and delivering oral and written reports.Must be comfortable around senior management personnelMust be able to turn qualitative views into quantitative views and help storyline what performance metrics are revealing.Must have a current DoD Secret Security Clearance.Must either hold or be able to attain (within one year) a certification as a Master Black Belt through a credentialing/training agency.
