DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Systems engineering, the latest in sensor and surveillance technology and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Sounds fascinating and exciting, doesn't it? Interested? If so, we have an opening for you as an FMS Systems Engineer Senior in the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance and Special Operations Forces (ISR/SOF) Directorate at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
If you're the person we're looking for, your duties will include:
Assist with managing advanced technology sensor projects and development of sensor components and mounting systems. This includes integration on manned and unmanned aircraft in areas like integrated subsystem controls, avionics, communications and data link and electrical power.
Assist in translating Department of Defense (DoD) and FMS customer user requirements into system requirements to be used by the weapon system contractor.
Assist in performing technical and mission analyses of operational requirements, developing system concepts and perform technological and trade-off study assessments of proposed designs.
Providing operationally relevant systems engineering services to assist with technology development activities that identify, analyze, evaluate, test, certify and implement new capabilities.
Applying principles, criteria and procedures of the DoD, the Air Force, the Air Force Material Command, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Engineering Directorate and the ISR/SOF Directorate.
Assist with drafting project documentation including Statements of Objectives and Statements of Work and SOWs, program plans, schedules, presentations and other documentation to include the Systems Engineering Plan and Life Cycle Management Plan.
Reviewing and providing comments on contractor documents and data.
Assist the test team with developing test requirements, reviewing and evaluating Test and Evaluation Master Plans and System Test Plans, and participating in system testing.
Reviewing and analyzing technical proposals or modifications for cost, design feasibility and system compatibility.
Assist with supporting and conducting engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical/ schedule risk assessment, and scheduling trade-off studies.
Assist in supporting evaluation of Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Systems Engineering Detail Schedule (SEDS) engineering cost estimates.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Possess a Master's degree and have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience. A minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Master's degree.
Minimum of four (4) years of any experience must have been performed on DoD programs or projects. Experience and degree requirements must be in a field relevant to their functional area.
Six (6) months of hands-on experience with managing FMS cases.
Familiarity with multiple intelligence disciplines to include, but not limited to: Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Hyperspectral Imaging and Sense and Avoid (SAA) Systems.
Experience with US Air Force sensor programs for manned and unmanned aircraft.

US Citizenship is required. You will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and MUST meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (SECRET). You must have an active SECRET clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) adjudicated within the previous five (5) calendar years.
