Job Description:

Sr. Aviation Analyst
Ft. Eustis

Overview:
JHNA needs a Senior Aviation Analyst to provide modeling and simulation support, aviation operational analysis, and M&S planning and execution to a military Science & Technology client.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Government in addressing existing capability gaps by employing new operational concepts or altered tactics and techniques for mission operations enabled by advanced technologies.
• Conduct operational task analysis and work closely with technology developers to support analysis of required capabilities, allocation of technologies to capabilities, identification of technology gaps and development of technical requirements.
• Plan M&S and other analysis, analyze data, and write reports summarizing findings.
• Communicate findings/results to users, war fighters, developers and senior leaders/
• Conduct M&S using software provided by the government, including AFSIM, ATCOM, and other tools based on government needs.
• Conduct optimization of parameters of interest (minimum or maximum quantities of a given object function: aircraft probability of detection or survivability for example)
• Optimization (minimum or maximum quantities of a given objective function (aircraft probability of detection or survivability, for example)
• Maintain familiarity with the latest versions of relevant formal capability development documents or operational need statements.
• Assist the Government in communicating and coordinating with external stakeholders to include technology developers, the user community, and technology transition partners.

Qualifications

Required:
• Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in Aviation Analysis
• Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain Secret Clearance)

Desired:
• S&T program support experience
• 10 years’ experience working in the field of Aviation Systems
• Operational military aviation experience, preferable with vertical lift aircraft
• Software development or software architecture experience

Education Level:

Bachelors degree or higher

Commensurate with experience
