Job Responsibilities
As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities concerned with servicing, operation, and maintenance of automobiles.
• Greeting customers and assisting them with any inquiries they may have
• Performing vehicle walk-around and documentation of customer concerns to enable the technician to properly diagnose and service the vehicle
• Consulting with the customer on applicable service specials
• Prioritizing required services and providing options upon request
• Keeping customer informed on completion times, service expenses, and possible changes
• Remaining involved in the delivery of the vehicle to customer upon completion to ensure all customer concerns are addressed
• Providing concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether by phone or in person, to ensure the customer does not get mishandled
• Spending quality time building relationship with the customer
• Maintain a superior CSI score
Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the Automotive Service Advisor must know the product well enough to answer characteristic and operational questions regarding the customer’s vehicle. Someone with an enthusiasm and willingness to learn would be a good fit for this dynamic role.
Additional requirements for the Automotive Service Advisor role include:
• High school diploma or higher
• At least one year of Automotive Service Advisor experience
• DealerTrack DMS experience, preferred but not required
