Mid-level Developer to support a government customer applying expertise in software development, and systems engineering as a Systems Analyst and Programmer for OSD/CAPE's Joint Data Support (JDS). S/he will be involved in analysis, design, and implementation of Global Force Management (GFM) tools, data, GFM-Data Initiative (DI) data, and technical development and updates to conduct and support studies and analysis. GFM DI is a Department-wide transformational effort to enable the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and the Intelligence Community (IC) to more efficiently carry out their Title 10 responsibilities of Assignment, Apportionment, and Allocation. GFM DI is also the source for Organizational Unique Identifiers (OUID) enabling data integration across systems in the business and warfighting domains. Individual must work well alone as well as along with other developers and analysts. Must be able to write clear code and document unclear code. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, process-oriented and have a strong work ethic. The successful candidate must be a team player, demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills, and possess strong analytic and technical skills.
