DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Would you like to help the world’s best Air Force with managing the acquisition of future cutting-edge intelligence gathering systems and technology? Do you have program management experience and want to be involved in leading-edge work? If so, we have a place for you in the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance and Special Operations Forces (ISR/SOF) Directorate at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio on the Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar System (ASARS) program.

As an Acquisition Program Management Support Senior, you’ll have many responsibilities, including:

Applying knowledge and experience in pre-acquisition definition and capabilities requirements integration, acquisition program management principles, policies and procedures to acquisition activities.

Being familiar with Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Hyperspectral Imaging and Sense and Avoid (SAA) systems.

Assisting in planning, organizing and managing critical aspects of the development, production and deployment of systems with respect to cost, schedule and performance.

Developing pre-award documentation and assisting in source selection and post-award activities.

Gathering data, conducting analysis and evaluating program acquisition documents.

Assisting in modeling databases, performing specific analysis and analyzing key program metrics.

Assisting with developing and integrating risk management plans and strategies.

Assisting the program office with procuring non-developmental items (NDI) e.g. Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) items, and FAA certified items, along with being familiar with commercial practices such as Performance Based Business Environment (PBBE), Evolutionary Acquisition and Agile Acquisition.

Assist the program office complete tasks related to the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), Concepts of Operation (CONOPS), Selected Acquisition Reports (SAR), Monthly Acquisition Reports (MAR), Probability of Program Success (POPS), etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree and a minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience or, a minimum of 18 years of relevant work experience plus a Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for a Master’s degree.

Minimum of four (4) years of any experience must have been performed on Department of Defense (DoD) programs/projects. Experience and degree requirements must be in a field relevant to the functional area.

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED.

Applicant selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and MUST meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret or TOP SECRET clearance (Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the previous five years) with Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility (SCI-DCID 6/4) on the FIRST DAY of employment.
