Responsibilities
Responsible for installing, modifying, rebuilding, and repairing air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment. Performs periodic inspection to locate and determine cause of equipment malfunctions; conducts maintenance program to prevent failure of equipment; checks and test for leaks; sets and adjusts controls and regulators.

KEY FUNCTIONS

Ensures all heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems are maintained and operating properly including systems cleanliness, efficient operations, repairs, installations, overhauling, and emergency services. Performs scheduled preventative maintenance. Operates and repairs energy management computer controlled systems and electric/pneumatic control systems. Procures equipment and services in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. Investigates existing and developing new sources of supply. Performs job walks, obtains and evaluates price quotations. Coordinates equipment shutdowns. Ensures all customer are met for shutdown. Interacts with customers to resolve problems and make adjustments to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning as requested. Assists in construction projects. Performs and checks work from blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, verbal and written instructions.
This role is a 2nd shift position (3pm-Midnight or 2pm -Midnight)

Qualifications
Required
5 or more years of relevant experience with certification in assigned area and High School Diploma or equivalent EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification Experience with software programs related to HVAC control A current security clearance OR the ability to obtain one through the Aerospace Corporation? U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. This position requires the ability to work 2nd shift (3pm-Midnight OR 2pm-Midnight)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may visit locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces, and may be exposed to seasonal elements. Intermittent travel to gain access to work areas and buildings. Requires lifting, bending, crawling, and climbing a ladder. Possible exposure to chemical and biological hazards. May be required to work in cramped, tight, and/or high places.
