Position Summary: Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on all production and facility equipment and systems.Provide electrical services to all machinery and plant facilities and actively troubleshoot PLC Programs and Programmable Controllers.
Support our goal to achieve a Zero Harm Environment, by ensuring the safety of yourself and your co-workers through following safety procedures, understanding potential hazards, wearing appropriate PPE, reporting all incidents, near misses, and concerns.
Trouble shoot and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns. Take breakdown calls as primary or backup status as assigned.
Install new electrical services with or without electrical drawings.Mark wiring changes on drawings.
Complete Preventative Maintenance on all equipment as required.
Design and draw electrical services for machinery.
Perform electrical maintenance on Radio Frequency generators.
Ability to complete simple mechanical repairs.
Work with Industrial Mechanics on machinery repairs, maintain machinery.Troubleshoot & repair with regard to minor electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and servo aspects.
Support EMS (Enterprise Management System) implementation which includes maintaining the department in 6S condition and participating in the IDEAS program.
Qualifications :
Must hold a valid provincial certification as an Industrial Electrician License (442A or 309A). Candidates close to obtaining their required apprentiship hours will also be considered.
Flexible to work overtime on short notice.Coverage for production overtime Saturdays and winter and summer plant shutdown is mandatory.
Effective communication skills are required with the ability to work as part of a team or independently with minimum supervision.
Proven ability to be proactive and self-motivated on the job.
Previous experience with MOTOMAN & Allen Bradley.
