DEFENDING OUR DEFENDERS

For over 13 years, UAP has been advocating on behalf of our Nation’s Warriors, financing the best legal representation for those who have been wrongfully accused or convicted of “War Crimes” or whose Rights are violated, and providing meaningful transition assistance from combat or incarceration back into our communities.

1. ADVOCACY: UAP generates positive public awareness and support for our Nation’s Warriors, their Constitutional Rights, and their Families, via public speaking engagements, presentations and panel discussions, interactions with elected representatives and their staff, messaging via social media, and generation of information graphics.

2. LEGAL REPRESENTATION: UAP covers fees and associated expenses for attorneys, investigators, experts, graphic artists, and consultants to:

a. PRESERVE OUR NATION’S WARRIORS’ CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS -- UAP makes sure our Nation’s Warriors’ Constitutional Rights are protected when in contact with military justice authorities. This includes addressing any unlawful command influence (UCI) pursuant to, and/or during, any military tribunal, violations of any military member’s right to a fair and honest investigation, trial and/or administrative separation, or subsequent efforts to update military records.

b. DEFEND OUR NATION’S WARRIORS WHO HAVE BEEN WRONGFULLY ACCUSED / CONVICTED OF “WAR CRIMES” -- UAP makes sure our Nation’s Warriors receive the best legal representation during investigations, pretrial hearings, courts-martial, separation boards, clemency boards, appeals, habeas corpus, executive commutation, clemency, and Presidential Pardons.

3. TRANSITION ASSISTANCE: UAP funds reintegration into civilian society to include: training, education, counseling, health care, and legal support; upgrades of military records; access to veterans’ benefits;  and, if unjustly imprisoned, visitation from loved ones and  stipends to help with family needs, books, stamps, magazines, etc...
