About Maryland Transportation Authority Police Force

The Maryland Transportation Authority Police / number of words (We ) are responsible for law enforcement at the Authority’s highways, tunnels and bridges, the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, and The Port of Baltimore.

Minimum Qualification

U.S. Citizen
H.S. Diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s License
Police Officer: Must be 21 prior to graduation from the Police Academy
Police Cadet: 18-20 Years of Age
Laterals: Must be MPCTC Certified

Police Officer Salary Range: $39,965 - $65,415

Police Cadet Starting Salary: $23,440

Lateral Officers: 6% above current pay up to $53,785
