QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting multiple Software Engineer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and Fort Belvoir, VA. This position is contingent upon award.
Duties:
Provides the highest level of subject matter expertise and project management in the areas of Software Development, Software Engineering, UX/UI design engineer, Web Engineer, Backend Software Engineer, Software Lifecycle Management, Systems Analysis and Design, Systems Development, Verification and Validation, Installation. Performs top level design, development, fabrication, testing, installation, troubleshooting. Can direct and manage large scale, complex software programs and provides functional expertise and management guidance to software team. Sets and maintains overall direction for software program and controls task scope, budget, and schedule. Communicates with senior level customer management and leadership on status of program.
Required Skills & Experience:
Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Required Clearance:
ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Required Degree & Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in non-directly related field and twenty-five (25) years of experience (bachelor’s degree in directly related field and twenty (20) years of experience).Master’s degree in non-directly related field and twenty (20) years of experience (master’s degree in directly related field and fifteen (15) years of experience).Doctorate in related degree and five (5) years of experience.
Travel:
Less than 5% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.
Work Environment:
This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands of this position include ability to:
Be independently mobile.Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.Lift/push/pull objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

QED offers a competitive compensation package for employees. Our total compensation package is value-based and negotiable depending upon the candidate’s specific skills and applicable relevant experience.
