Job Description:

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Training Specialist to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position is contingent upon award of the PD SAI SETA Task Order.

Duties:
Provide training for PD SAI program training devices, computer programming, electronics, and networks to those who will be using and supporting such items.Develop training materials and conduct classes in proper operation and maintenance procedures to PD SAI programs and various agencies within the Department of Defense.Provide resident and on-site technical assistance and training (both platform and hands-on) in the operation and maintenance of assigned systems and associate items to gaining units/installations in/from CONUS and OCONUS locations.Instruct on the theory of operation along with Operation of the complete system to include electronics, computer programming, and analysis of malfunction reports, system trouble shooting, and repair up to depot level.Prepare new training materials to include lesson plans, POIs, student guides/workbooks, training aids, etc. Establish early and continuous working relationships with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and appropriate development and production activities during the development of training materials.Maintain the training materials in a current, up-to-date condition, working closely with maintenance and engineering. Provide responses and answers to questions/problems from the field.
Required Skills & Experience:
Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Required Clearance:
ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Engineering preferred. Five (5) years of training experience in military systems required. Four (4) years military service (E6 or higher) may be considered as military training experience.Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education.
Travel:

Not less than 20% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment:

This position will be performed in various locations, including government offices, military bases and depots, warehouse/maintenance shops, and/or field environments that include extended periods outdoors.

Physical Demands:

Physical demands of this position include ability to:
Be independently mobile.Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.Operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Estimated Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for fully qualified candidates for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
