About this role:
The Security Analyst, Senior will have knowledge of security principles, concepts, policies, and regulations. Possess the ability to identify key concepts, factors, and risks based on conversations.
The Security Analyst, Senior will be part of the support team on a Government Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) initiative. The foundational tenet of the Zero Trust Model is that no actor, system, network, or service operating outside or within the security perimeter is trusted. ZTA is an enterprise cybersecurity architecture with Zero Trust concepts focused on component relationships, workflow planning, and access policies. The program's priority is to achieve operational excellence by implementing a discipline of security excellence.
Position Responsibilities: Provide Team leadership and guidance with a small to mid-size team. Perform documentation reviews of system documentation and controls assessment Produce and deliver detailed assessment findings Identify risks in program systems and work with technical experts to resolve security issues Assess solution designs/software solutions for security Develop Security Test and Evaluation Plans (STEP) Review Security Guidelines Support the Enterprise Security Change Control Board
Requirements:
Experience in managing teams of security analysts. Ability to effectively leverage vast detailed knowledge and familiarity with security discipline. Has thorough knowledge of security principles, concepts, policies, and regulations. Knowledge of NIST and FISMA principles and practices Able to identify risks in security systems and work with technical experts to resolve security issues. Possess the ability to identify key concepts, factors, and risks based on conversations and document these in clear and concise narrative or graphic reports. Knowledgeable in cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills with experience interfacing with senior government officials Attending meetings (may require travel) related to this order, as applicable. Strong communication skills - writing, speaking, listening Other Tasks as needed Qualifications: Required qualifications: A master's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required. Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education Five (5) years of experience Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one Preferred qualifications: Experience working with Government agencies (preferred) Familiar with the Federal cyber security requirements and guidance, including Zero Trust Architecture and industry best practices for security architecture and operations
