About this role:
Sierra7, Inc. seeks a Project Manager with experience managing Information Technology related projects with an understanding of life cycle and project management methodologies.
The Project Manager will be part of the support team on a Government Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) initiative. The foundational tenet of the Zero Trust Model is that no actor, system, network, or service operating outside or within the security perimeter is trusted. ZTA is an enterprise cybersecurity architecture with Zero Trust concepts focused on component relationships, workflow planning, and access policies. The program's priority is to achieve operational excellence by implementing a discipline of security excellence.
Position Responsibilities: Deliver project requirements on time, within budget, and with quality results that meet or exceed customer expectations. Proactively manage scope, actions, issues, and risks to ensure project success. Follow change control procedures effectively. Provide meeting planning and facilitation, including project team meetings, document reviews, and client-driven meetings (e.g., Integrated Project Team (IPTs) meetings). Coordinate development and reviews of high-quality project deliverables using appropriate templates. Collaborate and interface with project stakeholders, including end users, organizations, vendors, and service partners Manage the Operational, Technical, and support requirements.
Experience managing Information Technology related projects. Well-versed in the life cycle and project management methodologies. Experience in creating, applying, and maintaining tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, velocity, and other project metrics Experience developing and reviewing project documentation, such as project management plans, business / technical requirements, and other artifacts. Ability to identify and mitigate risks. Assist in developing program deliverables and ensure they comply with the 508 requirements. Attending meetings (may require travel) related to this order, as applicable. Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills with experience interfacing with senior government officials Strong communication skills - writing, speaking, listening Have experience in MS Project and PowerPoint and experience in SharePoint and Access. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related scientific /technical discipline. Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education Ten (10) years of experience Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one Experience working with Government agencies (preferred) PMP or PgM P certification (preferred) familiar with the Federal cyber security requirements and guidance, including Zero Trust Architecture and industry best practices for security architecture and operations Experience with Integrated Management Systems (IMS) (preferred)
