About this role:
Sierra7, Inc. seeks a Functional Area Expert II, with experience and deep knowledge of business, functional, and technical areas/disciplines and can conduct research on special areas.
The Functional Area Expert II, will be part of the support team on a Government Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Program. They should have extensive IT experience in all aspects of Cyber Security with a vast array of IT systems involving end user as well as enterprise level networks.
The DLP Program is a part of Zero Trust approach to enhance cybersecurity protections. The Program's priority is to look at strengthening its overall cybersecurity standing with improved IT infrastructure using an upgraded DLP posture to enhance the Department's mission. The DLP solution(s) will prevent potential data breaches / data exfiltration by monitoring, detecting, and blocking sensitive data - regardless of its location, by utilizing DLP software and or hardware in alignment with Zero Trust Model/Architecture, and governance guidelines.
Position Responsibilities: ? Be a part of a team that will define, develop, and implement the various guidelines for dealing with PII information to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information. Experience in information security and assurance principles Perform documentation reviews of system documentation and controls assessment Produce and deliver detailed assessment findings Maintain open communication with government site personnel and government task leadership
Requirements:
Must have experience in designing and implementing systems that meet agency Cyber Security policy and regulations Must have extensive experience in Cyber Security and DLP Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, and Zero Trust Architecture Experience and deep knowledge of business, functional, and technical areas/disciplines and be able to conduct research on special areas Experience with proposing new solutions to problems in the areas of their functional expertise Demonstrate the ability to work and analyze independently and as part of a team Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills with experience interfacing with senior government officials Attending meetings (may require travel) related to this order, as applicable Strong communication skills - writing, speaking, listening Other Tasks as needed
Qualifications: A Master's degree in Degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required Ten (10) years of experience in Cybersecurity 5 years' experience: Architect, engineer, develop, deploy, and administer Data Loss Prevention solutions. Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one Experience working with Government agencies (preferred) Documented Expert level industry certifications (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert, Cisco Certified Design Expert) (preferred) Knowledge of the Federal cyber security requirements and guidance, including Zero Trust Architecture and industry best practices for security architecture and operations, a plus (preferred)
