About this role:
Sierra7, Inc. seeks a Developer Expert who can create software development plans and strategies. The Developer will have experience in developing and implementing algorithms and Database Design. Conduct proactive risk identification and mitigation of the software development process.
The Developer Expert will be part of the support team working on a Government Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) initiative. The foundational tenet of the Zero Trust Model is that no actor, system, network, or service operating outside or within the security perimeter is trusted. ZTA is an enterprise cybersecurity architecture with Zero Trust concepts focused on component relationships, workflow planning, and access policies. The program's priority is to achieve operational excellence by implementing a discipline of security excellence.
Position Responsibilities: Interface with Stakeholders to understand pain points and business needs Possess knowledge of Enterprise Architecture objectives and ensure the program is in alignment Create the following architecture artifacts: design simulations, conceptual diagrams, and working reference models Develop quality improvement ideas Support the development of strategies and planning for the delivery of products and services. Oversee the work of Developers. Conduct quality control of software development. Conduct proactive risk identification and mitigation of the software development process. Follow change control procedures effectively. Coordinate and monitor the timely and effective completion of actions Collaborate and interface with project stakeholders, including end users, customer organizations, vendors, and service partners Assist in producing and delivering weekly status reports, monthly deliverables, and periodic briefings
Requirements:
Must be able to create software development plans and strategies. Experience in developing and implementing algorithms. Experience in database design. Demonstrate experience in devising possible solutions to predicted problems and evaluating other options. Able to work as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project, to write a specific section of the program, combining all elements of the program design and testing it; testing sample data sets to check that output from the program works as intended. Demonstrated success as an analyst showing a record of delivering IT systems projects Experience on a team utilizing Agile methodologies Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) experience, desired Knowledge of life cycle and project management methodologies Attending meetings (may require travel) related to this order, as applicable. Strong communication skills - writing, speaking, listening Other Tasks as needed
Qualifications: Masters' degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required. Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education Fifteen (15) years of experience. Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Government agencies (preferred)
