About this role:
Sierra7, Inc. seeks a Cyber Security Specialist, Senior well-versed in cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. This role needs knowledge of the Federal cyber security requirements and guidance, including Zero Trust Architecture and industry best practices for security architecture and operations.
Senior Cyber Security Specialist will be part of the support team on a Government Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) initiative. The foundational tenet of the Zero Trust Model is that no actor, system, network, or service operating outside or within the security perimeter is trusted. ZTA is an enterprise cybersecurity architecture with Zero Trust concepts focused on component relationships, workflow planning, and access policies. The program's priority is to achieve operational excellence by implementing a discipline of security excellence.
Position Responsibilities: Experienced in information security and assurance principles Perform documentation reviews of system documentation and controls assessment Lead in the develop Security Assessment Plans and Rules of Engagement Produce and deliver detailed assessment findings CSS may be asked to guide a program team in cyber security task delivery Maintain open communication with government site personnel and government task leadership
Requirements:
Knowledge of implementation and security levels and roles necessary for successful deployment. Experience with Cyber Security policy and regulations and threat mitigation. Experience in cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework Experience developing and reviewing cybersecurity documentation, standard operating procedure (SOP), and other system security artifacts is a plus. Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills with experience interfacing with senior government officials Attending meetings (may require travel) related to this order, as applicable. Strong communication skills - writing, speaking, listening CISSP preferred Other Tasks as needed
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required. Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education Ten (10) years of experience Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one Experience working with Government agencies (preferred)
