The Cyber Security Analyst, Expert will be well-versed in Cyber Security & Data Loss Prevention Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. This role requires expert knowledge of the Federal cyber security requirements and guidance, including Zero Trust Architecture and industry best practices for security architecture and operations.
The Cyber Security Analyst, Expert will be part of the support team on a Government Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Program. Also, will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) / liaison to the Govt. Functional Area Lead personnel who provide oversight and guidance. The SME shall ensure all operations and tasks are performed and assist other personnel in technical support.
Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Program is a part of Zero Trust approach to enhance cybersecurity protections. The Program's priority is to look at strengthening its overall cybersecurity standing with improved IT infrastructure using an upgraded DLP posture to enhance the Department's mission. The DLP solution(s) will prevent potential data breaches / data exfiltration by monitoring, detecting, and blocking sensitive data - regardless of its location, by utilizing DLP software and or hardware in alignment with Zero Trust Model/Architecture, and governance guidelines.
Position Responsibilities: Provide leadership and guidance with small to mid-size team Experienced in information security and assurance principles Perform documentation reviews of system documentation and controls assessment Guide NIST cyber security control requirement Develop Security Assessment Plans and Rules of Engagement Produce and deliver detailed assessment findings Lead the team in developing Control Assessment Reports and briefing government clients on test results.
Requirements:
Strong Knowledge of NIST and FISMA principals and practices Experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) or Certification and Accreditation (C&A), including Security and Privacy Controls Assessments of federal information systems, a plus Experience developing and reviewing cybersecurity documentation, standard operating procedure (SOP), and other system security artifacts is a plus. Well-versed in Cyber Security Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. Analysts must possess a high level of expertise in developing long-term strategies and be knowledgeable about cyber threats and their mitigation. Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills Demonstrate hands-on experience in process automation, best practice approach, technology efficiency, and effectiveness. Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills with experience interfacing with senior government officials Knowledge of life cycle and project management methodologies Attending meetings (may require travel) related to this order, as applicable. Strong communication skills - writing, speaking, listening Other Tasks as needed Qualifications: The Cyber Security Analyst, Expert required qualifications: A Ph.D. in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline or Master's degree with Expert level certifications (Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager) is required. Fifteen (15) years of applicable experience 5 years' experience: Architect, engineer, develop, deploy and administer Data Loss Prevention solutions Expertise in MITRE Adversarial Tactics, Techniques, and Common Knowledge Framework Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one The Cyber Security Analyst, Expert preferred?qualifications: Experience working with Government agencies (preferred)
