Primary Responsibilities
Perform conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation Physical/Electrical design for utilities/substations (including basic layout, electrical arrangement, one line, three-line drawings, plan-section, grounding, AC and DC system drawings)Perform engineering studies and calculationsPerform Quality Control reviews on substation physical design projectsAssume the role of technical lead on projects with limited guidanceCreate and review bill of materials for substation physical projectsDevelop and review proposals, and scopes of work for smaller substation physical projectsBe involved in client interaction (including site visits) with a senior, project or lead project engineerPossess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with the internal teams and clients to meet project objectivesDevelop leadership skills in preparation for future roles on the team
Basic Qualifications
Four (4+) plus years of Substation physical design experience.Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, civil, or related degreeExperience with grounding studies/lightning protection and lighting studies.
Preferred Qualifications
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E) licenseMaster's degree in related fieldWorking knowledge of protection and control designExperience with bus calculationExperience with WinIGS or CDEGS

Pay Range: Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00
