Job Summary:
As the AAW Systems Lead you will apply your experience and technical expertise and leadership skills in the planning, integration, test and activation of Anti Air Warfare (AAW) systems onboard a Zumwalt DDG 1000 Class platform.  You will direct the AAW mission are team to  perform Testing for all Raytheon and non-Raytheon equipment associated with AAW. You will be responsible to coordinate activities with government and contract personnel. Shipboard testing will be conducted on-site at San Diego CA, during ship systems activation, test, and trial periods.

                                                             

The AAW Lead will function as a technical member of the Shipboard Test Team staff interacting with a variety of stakeholders including System Integration and System Test Management, Navy Agencies, Navy Labs, Zumwalt Prime Contractors and selected major vendors. This position will require 25% travel and participation in programmatic and technical reviews. This position is located in San Diego.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Upkeep and management of the AAW systems aboard Zumwalt Class vessels.Execution of Stage testing in accordance with Platform activation schedule.Supervising a team of highly skilled AAW Engineers.Perform equipment installation, checkout, testing, reporting of results, SW, HW and FW upgrades and maintaining records as requiredCollaborate with Zumwalt shipbuilders and their vendors.Provide regular internal status reports to the Waterfront Test Team LeadershipProvide regular internal and external status updates to Navy Leadership and other Prime ContractorsEstablish and maintain relationships with the Engineering and Production Test representativesProvide underway system support for at sea events on the tactical platformDemonstrate equipment to Board of Inspectors and Survey (INSURV)Interact with the Shipbuilder, SUPSHIP, Ship's Force and outside venders on AAW issues and concerns.Perform routine climbing and lifting associated with shipboard electronic workAbility to perform work onboard a US Naval vessel in shipyard and at sea environments.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)Typically requires eight (8) years' experience with naval combatant radar systems, hardware / software integration, and test to include hands-on experience working with electrical and computer systems design, integration, and test in either a lab or field settingExperience with signal verification activities, including both analog and digital signal processingExperience with test procedure development and test conduct including the ability to safely conduct testing in a shipboard environment in an industrial environment and at seaExperience to scheduling, managing, and tracking to completion related suite of integration and test events, including RADAR systems installations and maintenanceExperience collaborating with customer using technical writing/presentation skillsThe ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
Prior experience working with Military and Commercial Marine control systems with knowledge of their vessel security and damage control signal applications (e.g., intrusion alarms, heat, smoke & flooding signals)Familiarity with Zumwalt Ship, Navy vessels, SPY 3 RADAR, networks, and equipmentComputer, Network and Fiber Optic Certifications, Information System Networks experienceTest tools (hardware and software), Test Equipment Development experience, and Factory Test experienceLINUX and Microsoft Windows platform familiarityExperience presenting to internal & external customersExperience working in industrial and shipboard environments would be an advantage.Active secret clearance

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
