Ingevity is seeking a progressive Human Resources Business Partner with broad experience and proven track record to support the Performance Chemicals plant in Charleston, SC. The position will report to the Director of Human Resources, Performance Chemicals and will be a key member of the Ingevity HR team. The major responsibility for this role is to engage employees and managers to drive change and support execution of the Ingevity growth agenda. The right individual for this role must also provide thoughtful employee/labor relations, ensure compliance to local, state and federal labor laws, and manage human resource related projects across the organization.

Serve as a primary contact for employee relationsAssist in the recruiting and selection of the right talent to achieve business objectivesLead the development of individuals and teams. Identify programs and tools to improve development areasStrong understanding and ability to ensure compliance with local, state and federal labor laws.Ability to deliver effective training and development that reinforces change and development of skills.Ability to lead, manage multiple projects, and complete activities accurately and on time.Proven track record as an HR partner and strategist with strong leadership, accountability and organizational skills.Prior experience growing and leading effective team desired7+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience in commercial and manufacturing business environments.Bachelors' degree in HR or related field.Ability to travel up to 25% domesticallyRelocation assistance is availableThis role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
