Job Description:
*This is a Night shift role hours will be 6PM - 6:30AM EST.
*Must be in or around Dayton, OH area
This entry-level position responds to system management alerts to handle system/operations exceptions, within the assigned enterprise systems of product offerings.This role will work closely with the Shift Supervisor with the rapid opportunity for growth and expectations of becoming the team's Deputy Supervisor.
This is a multi-facetted role which involves application monitoring, change management on customer-facing and internal systems, Major Incident management, and working within a global team.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences (CS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field, or equivalent experience requiredIntermediate knowledge in multiplatform environments including UNIX/LINUX, Windows OS,and Windows Server.Experience within ServiceNow is desired, but not required.Technical Skills:Ability to make complex analysis, correlate information, and troubleshoot incidents to identify and perform recovery actions or aid second-level teams.Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.Ability to perform recovery actions.Solid written communications skills.Solid verbal communications skills.Analytical support for system interfaces.Problem management escalationAccountabilities:Work closely with development groups, support groups, and vendors to coordinate special operations, and communicate/escalate problems as appropriate to meet assigned deadlines.Assist in daily support of the systems/products assigned, through early detection and pursuit or changes in system responses or operation.Provide prompt, clear, and timely communications; log, coordinate, and communicate problems using standard problem management and escalation procedures.Service requests including proper management, creation, execution, documentation, and closure of tasks, changes, and requestsRELX is an equal opportunity employer: qualified applicants are considered for and treated during employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship status, disability status, protected veteran status, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
