Job Discipline Description Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts that may include major strategic customers within a geographic or industry focus | Identifies, develops and typically closes new sales opportunities | Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers | Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account | May conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies | Responsibilities are within the Account/Relationship Management Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines General Profile Manages and is accountable for the performance of: a small team of professional associates, or supervisors of business support / operation roles Decisions are guided by policies, resources and business plan; receives moderate guidance from manager Manages a generally homogeneous team; adapts plans and sets priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges Responsible for setting employee objectives, conducting performance reviews and making pay recommendations Recommended Skills Functional Knowledge: Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own areas and knowledge of other areas Business Expertise: Understands how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives and has understanding of industry best practice Leadership: Sets employee performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommends pay actions Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves moderately complex business problems based on the analysis of information Impact: Defines team operating standards and ensures essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own discipline Interpersonal Skills: Guides, influences and persuades others internally in other business areas or externally with customers or agencies
