POSITION SUMMARY:
Project freight rates based on current volume of deliveries to assist sales in pricing. Communicate with sales team and carriers regarding potential contract freight bids. Audit freight variances to ensure invoices are billed correctly. Assist in setup of new carriers and freight contracts.

Base Compensation for this role is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, DOE.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Forecast freight prices to assist sales team in pricing for customers.
Communicate with team about changes made to contracts and freight rates.
Ensure customer accounts and freight rules are up to date.
Update Fuel Management Services on changes to price and calculate new contract rates.
Audit variances discovered by Accounts Payable and make sure all invoices are billed with the correct rates.
Prioritize tasks as they come in and make sure tasks with high importance are dealt with promptly.
Analyze discrepancies discovered by supply managers and determine the cause of the error and who to bill.
Generate reports every month for expired contracts and determine which ones to renew and which ones to invalidate.
Fix freight error issues in a timely manner.
Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of employees, customers and carriers and foster good working relationships.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

Problem solving is a must. Employees must understand the need to respond promptly and effectively to customer needs and service issues. Emphasis must be on timely solutions based on cost effectiveness and resource availability.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, high stress environment.
Ability to use multiple-line telephones, and web-based computer systems to communicate with customers, marketers, fuel carrier dispatchers, and delivery drivers.
Must have the ability to work independently and with a group.
Ability to sit in an office chair in a conventional office environment for extended periods. No exhaustive physical activity required; no lifting required.
Skilled in map reading, vehicle route analysis, and delivery time determination.
Must have intermediate/advanced skill level of the following computer software: Most Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred knowledge of the petroleum industry, bulk fuel delivery methodology, and standard hazardous cargo dispatch practices.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Must have ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
