Senior Level Software Engineer/Platform System Manager:
KBR (Government Engineering Services-US) is seeking Software Engineers for long term employment to develop breakthrough products and innovative software applications for government and commercial customers. As a software engineer, you work individually or on a small team. Many of our projects have immediate impact on national security leader decision making options. We need engineers who can work with full stack development teams and handle all aspects of feature development. Opportunity for remote work is available.
Responsibilities: Work with a team lead to define software requirementsDesign & develop system software for our customersExplore new areas or program in new languages to deliver a complete productSupport on-site meetings and deliveries to customers Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of software development, object-oriented design and programming, including design, coding, and testing experienceExperience with Web Services and JavaScript (e.g., ReactJS)Bachelor's degreein Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplineStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve customer and company goalsSupervisory experience for a team of engineersDevOps Engineer (with >6 years of experience in configuration control, testing, security, automation, containerization, orchestration, and cloud services open source technologies)Hands-on experience with Java, C/C++, C#, and/or Python Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Postgres and MySQLAWS and Azure experienceFamiliarity with Agile and/or DevSecOps proceduresSecurity+ or CISSP certificationSoftware Tester / Quality Assurance Specialist (with >6 years of experience in software testing and >1 year of experience in software quality assurance).Contractor Product Owner (with >6 years of experience in software management and managing a backlog of requirements)Master's degreein Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline Security Requirements: Must possess DoD security clearance. (TS/SCI Preferred)
