Who We Are:
We are a support group for clients and divisions here at SwRI. Our skill set involves general maintenance to exhaust systems,fume hoods,and some hvac equipment. We are a multi building campus across approx. 1500 acres.
Objectives of this Role:
With guidance from one of our trained technicians, you will assist in the daily maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment.The equipment we are involved with is exhaust systems, fume hoods,and some HVAC equipment as well.Perform related duties to help achieve departmental goals.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Filter and belt changes across campus to HVAC equipment.General maintenance of some HVAC window units.Basic maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of exhaust systems,fume hoods,exhaust valves throughout campus.Accepting help tickets from our plan-on system through phone and documentation of all maintenance.Inspection and cleaning of said equipment on a regular basis.Reporting to upper mgmt. and supervisor as well as working safely and responsibly.
Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalentMechanical classes or related are helpfulShift work required2 years: Minimum knowledge of building maintenance and use of hand toolsMust have basic computer, written, and verbal communication skillsMust be able to work in a team environment as well as having the ability and desire to learn and advanceMust be able to follow all safety regulations and proceduresA valid/clear driver's license is required
Special Requirements:
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
