Who We Are:

Join our team of experts in facility maintenance and operations. We have a dedicated group of carpentry professionals handling a variety of requests from within the organization, ranging from fine carpentry to general building repairs and cosmetic upgrades, just to name a few.

Objectives of this Role:

Assist Division Clients with project needs that require carpentry support, from building frames or shipping containers to repurposing space to accommodate new project demands.Provide expert analysis and work planning to support the many, varying issues that arise when stewarding upwards of 250 facilities, some of which are greater than 50 years old.Provide a wide range of experience and expertise across multiple facets of facility construction and maintenance, to include everything from sidewalks to rooftops, with the ability to identify a problem, develop a well thought out solution, then interface with others to complete.Daily interactions can include management, Division Client POCs, outside consultants, and ultimately construction contractors who may need to come in and handle certain specialized tasks.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

Facility maintenance with an emphasis on problems that arise within the carpentry trade, working both within the Carpenter Shop or on-site, as the circumstance may require.Occasional crates and pallet building or structure to support project work, built to particular specifications pertaining to overall dimensions and internal support for components.Occasional furniture construction to support new office deployments and staff relocations.Work well in a team environment, assisting co-workers and providing leadership when necessary to guide others in successful completion of task work.Communicate effectively with management and clients, both via email and verbally, to initiate jobs, identify issues, and close out tasks via the Planon system.

Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent7-10 years experience in facilities maintenance and/or carpentry tradePossess a strong ability to communicate with othersShift work requiredKnowledge of hand tools and power hand tools used in the field for carpentry workFamiliar with VCT, carpet squares, cove base, ceiling tile, door issues, dry wall repairs, painting and laminate workKnowledge of stationary tools to include table saws, miter saws, band saw, drill press and associated tools for carpentry workAbility to solve complex problems related to general building repairs & finishes (walls/flooring/roofs/etc.)A valid/clear driver's license is required
