Who We Are:

We maintain all campus building fire alarms and fire sprinkler systems along with assisting our SCC with the electronic building entry access systems. We managing and maintain our water well production / operations, and all daily/monthly recording / reporting to EAA and TCEQ. By joining our team, you will received an additional $500.00 in your first paycheck (minus applicable taxes)!

Objectives of this Role:

Work with our alarm-group so we can assure proper operation of our campus fire alarms, building fire sprinklers, building card entry systems, elevators. and security alarm systems.We work closely with Factory Mutual to meet their requirement's with building and campus fire sprinkler inspections.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

Assist with general maintenance on low voltage electronic alarm systems such installing and programming fire and access panels, replacing batteries, installing, repairing, or replacing damaged cabling.Document daily activities and check with management throughout the day on work progress and completion.Maintain a daily truck inspection log and monthly reports on testing fire pumps, inspecting fire risers and the riser rooms.Assist divisions with project work and escort contractors when necessary.Assist other departments within Div. 42 when asked.Assist ITC with maintaining our local Red and White box alarm monitoring.Perform monthly checks on all our campus elevators and inspect floor drains in the areas where we visit while performing riser inspections.

Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalentAny trade school credits or misc trade licensing is a plusValid Texas fire installer license preferred but not required2 - 5 years: Knowledge on basic building maintenance or construction tradeExperience in the electrical or alarm trade or ability to learn trade quicklyComputer experience with building spreadsheets, creating files and uploading/downloading files and programsUnderstand how to use/read a volt meter and other specialty tools used in the alarm and security tradeBe able to climb ladders and work alone. Understand the use power and hand tools and how to properly use themUnderstand how to read drawings a have basic knowledge on running low voltage cable and how to secure devices to walls and/or ceilingsMust be able to know how to tell the difference between high AC voltage and low voltage AC and DCA valid/clear driver's license is required
